Key Takeaways:

1. Tips for Those Still Working the 9-5

Push past your weaknesses, and organize yourself in a certain way.

Organize your time, and get a calendar. Do the three most important things that will make you money first.

Get up every day and say, “I’m going to do this anyway” even if you don’t have to.

Sometimes you are going to slack off, but keep coming back to the reality that you can’t play with this.

2. Renee’s Advice for Entrepreneurs Just Starting Out

Seek clarity. The challenges of being an entrepreneur are not easy, so make sure you know why you are doing this. Why are you doing this?

Step out and take a chance. Even if you get knocked down and it doesn’t work, keep trying and keep working.

You may think you don’t have resources or time, but the moment you step out and say that you are going to do this regardless, resources will start appearing. It may not be exactly what you want, but what you need.

Favourite Quotes:

  1. “I think you should continue to seek clarity, because the challenges of being an entrepreneur are not easy.”

  2. “Once you have that clarity, take a step forward. I think that the biggest misnomer is that we just have to wait for everything to work out perfect, and that’s never going to happen. You just have to step out and take a chance.”

  3. “[As an entrepreneur] I think that if you’re not clear about what you want… you are probably not going to stick with it.”
